Julie DePaul, PT, BCB-PMD
Board Certified in Biofeedback for Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction
Julie has lived and worked in Bellingham since graduation in physical therapy from California State University at Long Beach in the late 70’s. She developed her expertise in orthopedics, women’s health and chronic pain management while working at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association, and Northwest Physiotherapy Associates.
In 2004 Julie opened Healthy Focus Physical Therapy in order to focus her care on women’s health conditions. Julie’s pursuit of knowledge for the most effective treatments for women’s health conditions has led her to study the pelvic floor complex, biofeedback, the organs of the pelvis and abdomen, craniosacral therapy and nerve manipulation.

Karen Nellessen, DPT

Karen Nellessen
Karen’s professional interests include orthopedics, manual therapy and developing home exercise programs specific to each individual’s need to facilitate and learn self-management of symptoms.
She graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. She started her PT career as a traveling therapist and landed in Bellingham, WA first, continuing on to several other states including Virginia, Wisconsin and New Mexico. She has experience in acute care and orthopedic care.

Kate Tomlin, PTA, LMP
Kate joined Healthy Focus Physical Therapy in 2009. She is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and Massage Therapist. She is passionate in her pursuit of professional education and developing treatment skills. Currently she is studying craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation and women’s health.
Kate is a lifelong Bellingham resident. Committed to giving back to the community she offers free massages at events like Run Like a Girl and the Bellingham Bay Marathon. She teaches Pelvic Floor Workshops at Joy of Pilates.
